The Team Behind SAYPM 2009

The biggest drivers behind any event is the (wo)men power behind it. We bring to you the fab team behind the South Asian Youth Peace Meet 2009 -

Arjya Patnaik - Heading the team, Arjya walks in and starts talking business. She is a great one to redirect the conversation when other issues take precedence over SAYPM. She eats, drinks and breathes the South Asian Youth Meet and is our 'Mamma Bear'!

Gopika Gulati - This girl from 'saddi Dilli' is another power packed dynamo. Also known as the 'Golden Girl' of SAYPM, things started picking up once she joined the team in July. Not afraid to pick up the phone on anybody, Gopika goes full out to ensure we've got the best of speakers for the three days of the Meet.

Namrata Sharma -
Namrata brings in all the ‘sugar and spice and everything nice’ to SAYPM. Great fun to be with, this Mumbaikar will go all out to ensure the success of the event. Responsible for bringing CSSS on board, Namrata is an invaluable asset to the team.

Gopika and Namrata form the Speakers’ team for the event.

Nikhita Arora - The girl from New Delhi knows everybody everywhere. Extremely resourceful, this passionate MUNer is armed with a determination to achieve her goals and is a force to reckon with.

Prajakta Deshmukh - Our 'Pune ki Gori', is the entertainer. Her upbeat nature and the smile on her face helps keeps the team morale high. SAYPM 2009 would not be the same without her. A word of caution - never cross Prajakta, you will live to regret it! :)

Ankita Bara - Ankita is the ‘quiet one’. She puts her head down and works, works, works and works uncomplainingly when she has to. Always eager to help, Ankita brings a lot to the table.

Niharika Kalra – Niharika Kalra has a big voice, a big smile and a big heart. This ‘Punjabi kudi’ lives life truly Queen size and there is this feel good factor in the meetings everytime she is around. Always ready to break the monotony with a joke or a funny comment, Niharika is the life of the ongoing SAYPM party!

Ankita and Niharika form the very crucial Events team for SAYPM 2009.

Aditi Raisurana –
The girl from Jamshedpur is the ‘serious one’, or so you think till you know her a little better. Armed with the studious look and the agony aunt glasses, Aditi is brimming with ideas and tends to err always on the side of caution.

Chintan Buddhadev – Though technically not a part of the SAYPM core team, Chintan is an awesome team player. Once involved with a cause, Chintan sees it through to its logical end. Chintan keeps us going late into the night with a steady supply of homemade Gujarati sweets and savouries without which our meetings would be a little less fun and a little more work. Chintan has also coined the term ‘SAYPMs’ as a greeting – so no more ‘Hellos’, only ‘SAYPMs’!

Aditi and Chintan form the Marketing/ Branding and Budgeting team for SAYPM.

Ajay Hatti and Devika Gupta – Ajay and Devika are the people behind the exquisitely done Creative material for SAYPM 2009. All that you see of SAYPM actually comes from these two creative geniuses of SIMC.

Besides the above-mentioned, many many more people are contributing to the South Asian Youth Peace Meet on a day to day basis. We look forward to interacting with you once you’re here in Lavale with us and we hope you like the show!
